The Face Mask Detection and Temperature-Based Door Opening System Using Raspberry Pi is an AI-based automatic access-control system designed to verify a person's face mask status and body temperature before allowing entry.
The camera captures the person's face and the AI model determines whether a mask is being worn. At the same time, the MLX90614 non-contact temperature sensor measures the person's temperature. If the mask is detected and the temperature is within the configured safe range, the Raspberry Pi activates the door mechanism and allows entry. If the mask is missing or the temperature is above the configured limit, the door remains locked and an alert is generated.
